Heres a link to an article that studied high school students and the effect of soft drinks. The sample size is very small, about 100 students, but the results were dramatic. It is being expanded to a larger sample.

Ed,
This was a comparison of two groups, one of which got only sugar free drinks, while the other got what they were used to, high fructose corn syrup sweetened typically. I agree. I don't remember the last time I had a real sweetened soft drink. And I have sugar free soft drinks less than once a week. Dave |
