Crystal: I use a 100% whey protein powder in my smoothies. It doesn't have any added sugar so I felt it was OK.

I make protein shakes all the time with 100% whey powder, no added sweetners.
My fav is 1.5 scoops of protein powder, milk, a little stevia, peanut butter, unsweetened dark choc powder and cold coffee. Sounds weird, but I had it at a protein shake shop and I was hooked, so I make it at home.

Why use protein powder? As a shortcut?

Would this be something I could possibly use to get my man to eat breakfast??? Having a hard time convincing him he can't skip meals. Especially breakfast.

Was thinking a milk shake in the morning might be the ticket ....

I add protein powder to my fruit smoothies as well as to milk shake type drinks. It gives me that extra shot of protein that keeps me satisfied a lot longer than just the fruit.

On the shakes .. I like a scoop of protein powder, yogurt, cocoa, a spoon of instant coffee, ice cubes and a little sweetener. It makes a great mocha shake that stays with you for some time.

...nothin' weird about putting chocolate and peanut butter together!! And, stevia is my choice of sweetener, too. Oh geeze, this could almost get me to start drinking milk.
