I copied this recipe from another SB site, and modified it. The original has 2 1/2 cups catsup (instead of the sauce/paste), which I really don't think you should use. To be honest, I think it offends me more as a cook than as a poor choice for SB. I haven't tried this, I'd bet a little adjustment of the spices would pick this up a little more.

Makes 4 to 6 servings.

1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup diced onion
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon chili powder
4 pounds canned diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
2 pounds canned kidney beans, drained
In large heavy-bottomed pot, brown hamburger, salt and onions. Add pepper, chili powder, diced tomatoes and ketchup. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour. Add kidney beans. Heat until warm.
