Kraft? Thousand Island Dressing

Recipe By :Chuck Dennis
Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Salad Dressings

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/2 cup Smart Balance mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 teaspoons Splenda
2 teaspoons Dill pickle relish - More if you like
1 teaspoon finely minced white onion - more if you like
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 dash black pepper

Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well.

Place dressing in a covered container and refrigerate for several hours, stirring occasionally, so that the Splenda dissolves and the flavors blend.

Makes about 3/4 cup.

NOTES : Here's a quick clone for one of the best-selling Kraft thousand island dressings around. Use this one on salads or on burgers (such as the In-N-Out Double-Double clone) as a homemade "special sauce." It's easy, it's tasty, it's cheap and it can be made low fat simply by using low-fat mayo. Dig it. The Smart Balance Mayo eliminates the trans fatty acids as well.

And, try to make someone laugh out loud today. It will make both of you feel better.

I'm going to have to try this one. That sounds yummy, and it would be a welcome change from ranch and bleu cheese.
