1 egg
1 cup rolled oats
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup SF Applesauce
1 Tsp maple flavoring
3 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 Tsp salt
1 Tsp Cream of Tartar
2 cups apple Juice

Mix all ingredients.

Place in a 9x12 greased pan & bake at 350? for 35 minutes. Allow to cool.

Crumble and put on cookie sheets in a thin layer.

Bake in a 250? oven until dry and crunchy --- Crack the oven door to let the steam escape (I put a wooden spoon in the oven door to prop it open a little)

Stir occasionally and mash with a fork during baking to make the cumbs smaller. It took about 40 minutes until the cereal was dry enough. (I suspect that the humidity in the air will play a factor in how long it takes to dry the cereal.)

Cool and store in a closed container for up to one week.
