Full Version: Chicken Mozzerella

4 boneless chicken breasts, pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
1 egg, beaten with a little water
Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs
1 tsp Italian Seasoning  
8 slices mozzarella cheese, or more
1 can No Sugar Added Spaghetti Sauce (Hunts makes a good one)
Parmesan cheese
 
Stir together the Bread Crumbs and the Italian Seasoning.

Dip the chicken breasts in water/egg mixture and then in bread crumbs.

Brown on both sides until golden. Set aside in baking dish.
 
Slice 8 pieces of mozzarella cheese and put two on each chicken breast.

Top with the spaghetti sauce.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and a little more mozzarella
(there can never be too much mozzarella! smile.gif ).

Bake for 30 minutes at 350º.

Serve with whole wheat garlic bread and a crisp green salad- YUMMERS!

Can you tell me where you find a no sugar added spaghetti sauce? I looked last night at the grocery store and couldn't find any.

Some grocery stores carry them, others not. I usually find at least one brand at Super Wal Mart. But I've started making my own by using tomato sauce and Italian seasoning. Easy and sugar free!
