This isn't a true grunt as it is baked instead of steamed. A true grunt resembles a cobbler, but it is steamed on top of the stove (often in a cast-iron skillet), instead of being baked.

The finished product resembles dumplings instead of having a crisp brown crust. BTW: "Grunts" were named that because it is the sound the fruit makes as it cooks.

Nonstick cooking spray
3 cups blueberries
1/4 cup unsweetened orange juice from concentrate
2 Tbsp Agave
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup Whole Wheat Pastry flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp splenda
1/2 cup milk
3 Tbsp butter

Preheat oven to 350?F. Coat a
casserole dish with cooking spray.
Place the blueberries in dish and top with the orange juice & agave. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

In a separate bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and make a well in the center. Add the milk and the butter. I work this by hand until well mixed.

Drop by spoonfuls onto the blueberries.

Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm. Makes 4 Servings.
