6 cooking apples -peeled & sliced
1/2 Cup Splenda
1/2 Cup whole wheat pastry flour
3/4 Cup rolled oats
1/2 Teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 Teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 stick butter

Lightly butter the crockpot and place apple slices on the base.

Combine splenda, flour, rolled oats, ginger and nutmeg and cut in butter, using a pastry blender or knife.

Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.

Cover and cook on LOW 5 to 6 hours.

Delicious with No Added Sugar Vanilla Ice Cream.

I made this at Thanksgiving and it was really good. Even people not on Sugarbusters loved it!!!!!

I'm glad that you liked it.

It's also nice to add a cup or two of cranberries to it. If you do this you may need to increase the Splenda to 3/4 cup. Really nice for the holidays.

I am confused. In the book it says not to mix fruit with other things. Is there a change since the 1995 book? This sounds so good. Dona
