For you meat eaters,

I saw this on the Travel Channel, more or less...:

2 pounds burger
1 cup of beef broth
1 can tomato sauce
1-2 tblsp cumin
1-3 tblsp chili powder

brown beef, drain fat...put beef, and rest of the ingredients into the crockpot, let it simmer (high 3-4 hours, low 8-10 hours), add a little more water or tomato sauce as needed.

You can add diced tomatoes, canned diced peppers, beans, or whatever else you'd like to put in it. Personally, I just like it "straight": as listed.

Good stuff, goes great with whole wheat sour dough bread.
