Cream of Broccoli Soup
2 - 10oz. Packages of frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
2 - cups chicken broth or stock
½ cup chopped onions
½ cup butter or margarine (1 stick)
¾ tsp of basil
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup light cream
Saute onion in butter or margarine for 5 minutes.
Add broccoli, chicken broth, basil, salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
In a food processor, puree until smooth.
Reheat mixture and add the lemon juice and cream.
Serve immediately.

(I followed the directions, except I used fresh broccoli, and heavy cream.
I also used a blender)
