Nutty Napa Cabbage Salad

1 small/med head Napa Cabbage cut into small pieces or shredded-(You can use regular cabbage also -1/2 red and 1/2 regular cabbage would be really pretty)
2-4 spring/green onions chopped

1 1/2 cups sliverd or sliced almonds
2-3Tbsp sesame seeds
pat of butter

Dressing:
1/4 cup Splenda
1/4 cup of veg oil ( if you have sesame oil use a little: remember a little goes a long way)
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1/8 cup of cider vinager

Using med heat melt butter in pan and add almonds and sesame seeds stirring until toasted. Set aside to cool

Mix dressing together in a jar with a lid and shake well.

In large bowl mix cabbage, onions and cooled almond/sesame mixture. Pour dressing over salad and mix well. It may not seem like enough dressing, but if you let it rest for a few minutes it always is enough for us, but you may want to add more.


*** I loved is dish before I started SB and just could not bear to give it up so this is what I came up with, I made it last night and the fam. loved it.
The original calls for a whole cup of sugar and uses Ramen noodles.

I am pretty sure this recipe would be legal, but please if anyone finds other wise let me know. tongue.gif
