1 pound edamame or green soybeans in the pod, fresh or frozen
2 c water
1/2 t salt

Boil the soybeans for 20 min if fresh and 8 min. if frozen or until crisp tender. Serve with a bowl for discarding the pods. I always keep a batch handy if the refrigerator for whenever the munchies strike.

*I prefer the frozen. Sometimes the fresh are fuzzy. You can find them in some grocery stores, and most health food and Asian grocery stores.
