1 cup refried beans
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
8 whole wheat flour tortillas
1 tomato, chopped
1 (4 oz.) can mild green chile
peppers, drained, seeded
and chopped
4 slices sharp American cheese
1 cup lettuce, chopped

Combine beans, 2 Tablespoons of chile peppers, onion and 3/4 teaspoon salt. Add beef; mix well.
Form into eight 5 inch patties.

Cut cheese in half, and put half of a slice of cheese in the middle of each patty. Fold the meat mixture over the cheese.

Grease and preheat George Foreman Grill. When the grill is hot, put the meat mixture in the grill and grill 4
minutes.

While meat is grilling, get the tortillas ready by putting the tortillas on a microwavable plate and
warming on medium for 1 minute.

Serve meat in tortillas adding the lettuce, tomatoes and the remaining chile peppers as desired.
