In soup pot, saute 1/2 onion or more in a little butter or oil.

Add chicken broth (as much as you need for your family)

When heated, add chopped frozen broccoli ( or fresh if you feel froggy). As much as you like. I like lots and lots) Cook until chopped broccoli stalks are somewhat tender.

Turn off heat. Add Velveeta cheese or mozarella or whatever cheese you prefer. I use about 1/2 pound in a big pot. Stir until melted and smooth.

Salt to taste. Serve with a few Triscuits crumbled on top.
