Ingredients

1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 # ground pork
1 egg
1/2 c. cooked brown rice
1 c. chopped onion, divided
1/2 t. thyme
4 c. water
1 tomato, chopped
2 T. chili powder
1 clove garlic, peeled & minced
2 carrots, peeled & sliced
2 stalk celery, sliced
1 c. peas
(i live zucchini in here to! reminds me of JUANITA'S ALBONDIGUS SOUP!!)

Procedure

Mix together gr. beef, gr. pork, egg, brown rice, 1/2 the onions & thyme in bowl; form into balls.
Coat a lg. heavy saucepan w/veg. cooking spray & brown meatballs; about 5 - 10 min.
Add meatballs to water, tomato, chili powder, garlic & onions; add carrots, celery & peas.
Opt. add pealed & cut zucchini about 2 hrs. before done!
Cook on low 6-8 hrs.
